About EpicPay

EpicPay (formerly Spectrum Merchant Services) was established in 2001. As a debt-free privately held company, our management team has over 60 years of experience in the electronic payment industry. We are a Direct Wholesale Registered ISO with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, JCB and American Express. The entire sales and support process is managed internally. From underwriting and risk management, to terminal deployment, technical support and customer service, we handle it all in-house.

We relocated our corporate office from California to Texas in the summer of 2013. Now headquartered just north of Dallas in one of the fastest growing cities in the nation, we are better positioned to serve our merchants and remain at the forefront of payment processing.

After the move principals Marco Leardini and David Rounds announced a new company name effective January 1, 2014: EpicPay. It was a natural next step completing the organization’s focused transition.

Why would an established Inc. 5000 company change its name?

An organization’s name reflects its nature.

ep·ic  \ˈe-pik\

adjective :  extending beyond the usual or ordinary… impressively great.

- Merriam-Webster's dictionary

The EpicPay name is the foundation for the next phase of the company's strategic vision and creates a recognizable brand as opportunity enablers and thought leaders setting the industry standard.

EpicPay will build off of the many accomplishments of Spectrum and continue advancing with the acumen gleaned from the last thirteen years.

Beginning in 2003, Spectrum ranked multiple times within the top 100 merchant acquirers in the U.S., according to the Nilson Report. In 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013, Fortune’s Inc. 5000 Magazine awarded Spectrum with the distinct honor of being ranked as “One of The Nation’s Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies”. As a six (6) time recipient of this award we received the distinct honor of being named an Inc. 5000 Honoree Company.

Under the Spectrum name we served more than 12,000 merchants who have processed in excess of 100 million transactions, valued at over $10 billion dollars and we have no plans of slowing down.

Leveraging Spectrum’s proven history, we plan to extend our service capabilities as we capitalize on new market segments in an ever expanding global economy. We’re the same great management team and the same great people who believe this new name better reflects who we are and where we are going as an international organization.

Uncompromising Values

Our approach to business is best defined by our creed: do for others as you would have them do for you. Included in our measure of success is the betterment of people every day. We understand the power we have to make a difference in the lives of those we live and work with near and far.

We believe in managing the expectations of our clients by initially disclosing all costs and terms of an agreement as well as quoting realistic outcomes and time frames. We will always tell the truth, whether it is good news or bad. We believe in doing what's right every time, whether it benefits us or not.

Our Secret to Success

We believe that one of the foremost reasons for EpicPay’s continued success and growth is due to the goals we set and the priority we place on those goals. Contrary to traditional corporate planning, the first goal ever established was not related to a certain level of sales or revenue. Instead, we determined how much we would contribute to various local and international humanitarian ventures.

This upside down, or as we consider it, “Right-side up” business plan directs our efforts and shapes our strategies. These “Giving Goals” are a driving force and foundation upon which all other goals are based.

Purpose-driven Processing

We truly desire that a relationship with EpicPay has left a person, a company or a community better off than when we first met them. We are committed to creating a positive global impact as a result of our success and the success of our clients.

Each year, EpicPay donates a significant portion of its revenues to ministries and outreach programs in the U.S. and throughout the world. In addition to the financial contributions, the owners and staff embark on trips to bring food, clothing and hope to people in need. Some of the countries visited include: India, Mexico, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, Nepal, Malaysia, Indonesia, Trinidad, Venezuela, Sri Lanka, Egypt, New Zealand, Australia and the Philippines.

Strategic Alliances

Strategic alliances, attained by collaborating and partnering with the industry’s best of breed companies, allow EpicPay to quickly deliver the best solutions for our clients. The strength of our relationships with market leaders is well publicized. Nevertheless, our track record of forging early relationships with emerging technology companies is equally impressive. Our combined resources and innovations provide increased client satisfaction and reduced risk in new technology deployment.

Successful Relationships

EpicPay is focused on developing client relationships for life, and the relationships we build are based on integrity, insight, commitment, and accomplishment.

We consider both our merchants and our sales representatives as our clients. Each year, virtually all of our most significant clients renew their relationship with us to assist them in deploying innovative solutions to address new business challenges. Their overwhelming satisfaction with EpicPay is evident by the numerous referrals we receive.
